8 May 2009 – Recipient of the Jean Arnot Memorial Fellowship, awarded to a female librarian or female student of librarianship for an outstanding original paper of no more than 5000 words on any aspect of librarianship for the paper, Why Learning about emerging technologies is part of every librarian’s job (WORD doc).

- June . Gave paper about MULTA at CARCIT (Collaborative Action for Reference Competencies and Information Technology).
- May – September . Designed and facilitated a two month collaborative project (MULTA) for Murdoch University Library staff to read about, use and discuss new web tools.

- Career break while raising two sons and caring for elderly parents.

- Chairperson of the Electronic Information Standing Committee, a joint public library/LISWA communications forum examining more efficient ways to use electronic resources co-operatively.
1996
- Spoke on Information technology in public libraries at the seminar “Don’t you just stamp books ?” organised by the ALIA Public Libraries Section.
- On organising committee for the ALIA RAISS section’s Internet Fair held at Curtin University, and gave a paper about Authoring web pages using skills you already have as a librarian.
1995
- Authored and published the first World Wide Web pages for a Western Australian Public library.
- I was on a WALGLA (W.A. Local Government Librarians Association) committee of public librarians examining options for co-operative Internet usage in public libraries
- I designed and facilitated a seminar for around 60 public librarians entitled Public libraries and the Internet – We know what it does, now what do we want to do with it?
- Part of the group of Public librarians who examined the tenders for LISWA’s new computer system
