Some memes I do. This one has been floating about for the last couple of days and has a Flickr group, Me, Right Now.

The rules:

Instructions: Take a picture of yourself right now. Don’t change your clothes, don’t fix your hair - just take a picture. Post that picture with NO editing. Post these instructions with the picture.

(Yes, I was as surprised as I look. I hadn’t realised that the webcam was set to a 10 second delay and then three shots in a row)

This is one time where I’m glad you didn’t name names and that I didn’t end up on the list. Couldn’t sleep and look a right sight — would even scare the cats and dogs.

This procedure is quite valuable because it forces one to recognize themselves as they are, and this is quite lacking in modern times. We see ourselves in a different fashion than we are seen by others, and this incongruity can result in unfounded expectations or beliefs. It would be beneficial for this picture-taking of onesself to spread, so that people could also build self-esteem based off of their true external representation.
