Stephen Abram graciously agreed to launch the 23 Things program at MPOW last week- although he was on the other side of the world.

I made a six minute movie with him after the CAVAL seminar here in Perth on 31st August. He’d just spoken for three and a half hours or so and had to contend with people clearing away dishes and running the dishwasher in the background - so I think he does a jolly fine job. The video is here,Stephen Abram launches Murdoch University Library 23 Things

The full post,Stephen Abram launches Murdoch University Library 23 Things lists the questions I asked and has a list of links to the sites he mentions in the video.

    Hi Kathryn,
Thanks for putting up the interview with Stephen Abram, I was very impressed both with him and with the way you put the video together. Our library has started with 23 things. Although I have played with 23 things on a blog I created back in March I created a new one so I could join in with the other staff doing 23 things. Something Stephen said ‘reflect on what you are learning’ and I agree with him we should not just do 23 things but see how we can incorporate are learning into our lives. After watching the video, I am looking forward to listening to Stephen in person when he is Melbourne in October.

Hi Rhonda. Yes, I remember you from the SLV and from Twitter too.

I’ve been reading your blog and am really grateful there are people like you around - folk that you don’t expect to be techie, showing other people that it is easy to do this stuff if you just play and have an open attitude.

I’m so glad you are seeing Stephen. I tried to tell my supervisor just how great his seminars are, and after she attended the one in Perth, she understood what I meant. I hope that the movie will maybe persuade some people who were a bit iffy about going to attend if they can.
