We’re a nosy bunch in the biblioblabbersphere. And like conversations. Here’s a harvest from the last 24 hours.

- Con asks “why do(n’t) you blog?” over at Ruminations. She’s after feedback for a presentation about “why you (and your library) should blog” for the unconference on Friday. Hand the gal a comment and while you’re at it, I know from her twittering this afternoon that she’d appreciate your feedback about how you engaged people to start using a wiki and tips to keep them doing it.
(Have I mentioned the unconference before? So you know it’s on then? Friday 3rd August 9 – 5, State Library of Western Australia? Good. See you there then. Or follow it on the day by friending unconfwalib on twitter.)
- Meredith from Information Wants to Be Free is repeating her 2005 survey of the biblioblogosphere, 2007 Survey of the biblioblogosphere. If you have a library blog, nip over and take around 5 minutes to complete the survey.
- My Second Life friend, Kim Zwiers, teaches at library school in Finland would like to know about social capital in Second Life. He’s asking questions like “Do you feel safe where you live in RL? Do you feel safe when you are in SL?”. The survey didn’t seem to be activated when I did it, so give it a couple of days.
- I want to join in. I’m preparing something for Friday about “How do we make time to learn about emerging technologies?” Any input welcome via the comments.

The best way to make time is to do it in your own time outside of work. I consider it my responsibility as part of my own professional development.
Oooooo! You’ve got your website up and running! What an adorable kitty picture
My two kitties got desexed yesterday, poor things, they’re very sad.
I certainly look forward to hearing about/seeing what you guys talk about in the unconference. I decided not to go in the hopes that more people from ELS will want to/be able to, but I think only Kate R is going and now she’s sad because I’m not going!
